Another well-known singer joins the list of celebrities caught driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This time, it’s Xonia, who was pulled over by the police on Friday morning. She had a blood alcohol level of 0.25 in the breathalyzer test and had consumed cocaine before driving, according to Romanian Digi24 sources.

In addition, the police discovered that she did not have a valid license for Romania. The singer is now facing criminal charges.

“On June 23rd, around 04:00, police officers from the General Police Directorate of Bucharest – Traffic Brigade, in the performance of their duties, stopped a vehicle driven by a woman on a street in sector 2.

Following checks, it was established that the person driving the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol and prohibited substances, and that she did not have the right to drive in Romania.

In this context, a criminal investigation was opened for the commission of offenses under Art. 336 para. 2 and Art. 335 para. 2 of the Criminal Code, under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Sector 2 Court,” according to a statement from the Traffic Police.

Xonia, whose real name is Loredana Sachelaru, is a Romanian-born singer, composer, model, actress, and dancer, born in Australia in 1989. In 2010, she released the song “My Beautiful One” with Deepcentral, which was the most played song of the year.

She is not the first celebrity to face such issues. Lidia Buble was also caught driving under the influence, and influencer Ana Morodan was stopped by the police twice in one evening. The first time, she hit two cars at the Arcul de Triumf while trying to escape the traffic police. The officers confiscated her license on the spot, but she drove again a few hours later when she was caught by the police again.
